For Construction or Alteration
If the distance between the highest point of the window or window wall and the ground is more than 3.5m but not more than 100m
  1. The works involve the main frame of the window or window wall; or
  2. The works involve the sub-frame of the window or window wall, and the length of the sub-frame is more than 1.2m
If the distance between the highest point of the window or window wall and the ground is more than 100m
  1. The area of the external wall opening for the window or window wall is not more than 6m2; and
  2. The length or width (whichever is shorter) of the opening is not more than 1.8m

For Repair or Replacement
If the distance between the highest point of the window or window wall and the ground is more than 3.5m but not more than 100m
  1. The works involve the main frame of the window or window wall; or
  2. The works involve the sub-frame of the window or window wall, and the length of the sub-frame is more than 1.2m
If the distance between the highest point of the window or window wall and the ground is more than 100m
  1. the works are not carried out in accordance with the original design
    1. the area of the external wall opening for the window or window wall is not more than 6m2; and
    2. the length or width (whichever is shorter) of the opening is not more than 1.8m; or
  2. the works are carried out in accordance with the original design
