Accepted Academic Qualifications for Technically Competent Persons' (TCPs') Registration/Appointment

The Accepted Academic Qualifications (AAQ) for TCPs' Registration/Appointment contains the list of academic qualifications previously accepted by the Buildings Department when conducting audit checks on the applications for inclusion in the TCP List under the Technically Competent Persons Registration Scheme; and the curriculum vitae for the academic qualifications of the TCPs appointed under supervision plans, which were submitted respectively pursuant to paragraphs 8.26 and 8.30 of the Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009 (2024 Edition) (Supervision Code).

The AAQ covers courses accepted for TCP grades T1 to T4 (other than registered professionals) subject to relevant academic levels and disciplines (i.e. civil/structural/geotechnical engineering, building studies, building surveying or architectural studies) so recognised in accordance with the principles and requirements laid down in paragraphs 8.19 and 8.20 and Tables 8.4 to 8.7 of the Supervision Code respectively. Geotechnical courses accepted by the Geotechnical Engineering Office of the Civil Engineering and Development Department and those special training courses accepted as set out in paragraphs 1 to 4 in Appendix X of the Supervision Code are not covered by the AAQ.
