System Requirements

There are two kinds of electronic forms (e-Forms) provided by Buildings Department:

• Desktop Form
• Mobile Form

Desktop Form

Minimum Computer Configurations

• 2GHz CPU
• 4GB RAM
• Windows platform: Windows 7 or above
• Mac platform: OS X or above
• Chinese character supported: Hong Kong Supplementary Character Set-2008
• Monitor with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels or above, while other resolutions are also supported

Please note that Linux is not recommended because Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat do not support for Linux platform.

Supported Browsers

To download the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) of e-forms, you should use one of the following browsers :

PDF Readers

To view and print the e-forms, you must use either of these PDF readers:

• Adobe Acrobat (9 or above)
• Adobe Acrobat Reader (DC or above) - free to use

You also need to install Adobe Asian language pack (Mac Platform / Window Platform) on your computer in order to display the Chinese characters correctly.

Enable Javascript

Javascript should be enabled for the PDF forms. This can be set from menu bar → Edit → Prefernces → Category "Javascript" as shown below:

Mobile Form

Minimum Configurations

• 1GHz CPU
• The forms are best viewed on 7" or larger tablets
